A NEW YORK THEATRE FESTIVAL PRODUCTION
"Learning to Die" is a play-within-a-play that follows the downfall of two parallel relationships. We follow our protagonist as he tries to understand what went wrong with someone he loves, once loved, and can no longer love. After losing someone, we are left alone to write the story of what happened. We can color our memories however we choose, but often, the objective reality is simpler and more difficult to understand.
Tom arrives early at a party hosted by his ex-girlfriend, Stacy. No other guests arrive and time appears to be moving backward. Tom discovers it may be too late for reconciliation.
